Systems Development – Higher Certificate
Further education and Training Certificate in Systems Development (NQF level 5; SAQA ID 48872).
The purpose of this qualification is to enhance readiness and provide entry into the areas of Systems Development at NQF level 5. It prepares learners for entry into the workplace or undergraduate study, providing them with the necessary knowledge needed in the fields of Information Technology and Computer Sciences.
This course maps the internationally recognized MTA and MCSD qualifications and will prepare you for your international examinations as well.
- Mathematics at NQF level 4.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Mature age applicants, 45 years and older without a school leaving qualification, may apply for conditional exemption.
- Foreign students whose first language is not English, may be required to provide proof of proficiency in English prior to admission to the program.
- A laptop or computer is required.

On successful completion the Learner will be issued a Higher Certificate in Systems Development, NQF Level 5, SAQA ID 48872, minimum 131 credits from Hope Institute of Learning.
This program includes a compulsory 300 hours of workplace learning component. Workplace learning provides important opportunities for professional and personal growth. It addresses specific competencies identified for the acquisition of the program, which relates to the development of skills that will make the learner employable and will assist in developing their personal skills.
